I entered the field of Education earning my Bachelor Degree from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. From there I gained the opportunity to teach for the School District of Holmen just north of La Crosse taking on the energetic role of a First Grade Teacher.  I taught 1st grade for 6 years and to me it was the most special and rewarding experience as I not only learned the art of being an educator, but I learned how to become a learner from none other than my students.  I attribute a lot of what I have become to the lessons they taught me!  They are a large piece of my heart!

During my time in Holmen, I became a technology coach and helped to provide professional development opportunities for staff and students.  Not because it was added pay, but because it was important to the learning process, and it was EXCITING!  Prior to that I would not have considered myself a "Techie," but my has that view changed over time!

I began working as an edtech consultant in the summer of 2011 as a presenter at a Summer Technology Academy.  After a few years of doing small projects and working more as a consultant and made the decision to leave the classroom to push myself with new challenges providing professional development to schools and districts around the state of Wisconsin as well as opportunities to speak and share our knowledge around the nation.  I decided that I would be able to make a larger impact on kids and education by supporting many classroom teachers and improving/supporting their classroom practices.
